An interesting new format thats been going around lately which I have played a few games of now. EDH as a lot of people are calling it requires a lot more thought and skill in deck building compared to a standard 60 card deck, based on a 100 card Highlander deck with a twist.
A Highlander deck follows one simple rule:
With the exception of basic lands you cannot have any card in your deck with the same exact name as any other card in your deck.
The Twist and what sets this format apart (its been going on after hours at Pro Tour events for a while now) Your deck is 100 cards no more no less, with a minimum of 1 Legendary Creature that acts as your General.
Your Deck cannot have any cards with mana symbols that are not in the Casting Cost of your General.
At the start of play your General is announced and removed from your Deck and placed by itself in the "command zone" from here you can play your General for its mana cost. If your general dies or is removed from the game it can be returned to the command zone instead of going to the graveyard or being removed and then can be replayed for its mana cost plus 2 colorless mana for each time it has been replayed since it was first cast.

ok ryan this is what i came up with Uril, the Miststalkeras general with stuff like Celestial Mantle,Mayael's Aria,Mayael the Anima,Cradle of Vitality,Doubling Season
then lighting greaves or whispersilk cloak any auras with the colors of course so blanchwood armor perhaps,holy strength,firebreathing,lifelink,indestuctibility,armored ascension(white verison of blanchwood)
most of the cards listed are links to the card
