HI guys welcome back I know it has been a while sense my last blog but it time for a new one

So today I wanted to talk about this new independent comic series called Foster. Foster is written by Brian Buccellato, writer of that flash, and drawn by Noel Tuazon. Just to give you a quick summary of the comic, without giving it all away, it takes place around the 70’s in a city resembling New York called Vintage City. Foster is a about a guy named Eddie Foster a Vietnam Veteran  with a major drinking problem and an even bigger problem with creatures called Dwellers. Basically the story puts Eddie in a position where he is forced to protect Ben, the next door neighbors’ child whose mother seems to have vanished, from ape like creatures called Dwellers. Dwellers are savage beasts which live to do the most primal of things. While they are beastly they are not without intelligence making them a bigger threat than your average monster. Overall the comic is really dark and gritty and ends with such a dramatic twist that leaves you begging for the next issue and is quite frankly a must read for any father. Currently Brian is finishing the final touches on the second issue and I am one of many eagerly awaiting it release. Brian told me that he has committed to writing six issues to complete the story arch, but he would really like for it to become an ongoing series. I can’t recommend this book enough it’s a great read and a great escape from the usual tights and capes which is so common in comic books.

The issues are signed by Brian and more importantly the back of the comic is white and Brian has promised to anyone who buys it that he will do a free sketch on the back of whatever you want no matter where you find him just as long as he has his markers. So again if you are looking for something new to get into check out Foster you will be happy you did. I also know that there have been talks about him doing a signing at are store sometime soon so you would be able to get your sketch done at our store during that signing.
